This is the Only hvac and plumbing supplier to use In Colorado. Knowledgeable professionals at the counter, always have your parts in stock, they'll come open late when you're In a bind. As an hvac contractor they are my go to. Jeff behind the counter has got to be the sharpest counter guy I've ever dealt with in a decade in the hvac business. 11/10 they're setting the standard for hvac supply houses in the US.
Been my #1 parts house for decades, this is what all supply houses should try to be like. I don’t know that you’ll find a better or more reliable supplier than Johnstone… As a HVAC contractor I am always running 100 miles per hour to take care of my customers, I really appreciate how they always seem to get my orders picked perfectly! I’m amazed at how quickly they can handle so many contractors that efficiently, tradesmen can be somewhat grumpy when they’re standing at the counter trying to explain what they need… not really a issue with the counter guys at Johnstone, they are extremely knowledgeable about their inventory. When I find myself in a different supply house it reminds of how much I appreciate the people who always seem to just get it right.. Thanks for the hustle boys!!
They value the contractors markup more than your pocket. They don’t give estimates of how much the materials cost to homeowners, when a homeowner technically can install their own furnace. If you are not in the business they won’t quote you. Protecting the markup of the HVAC trade. Shady practice if you ask me.
Been to just about every Johnstone from here to San diego. This one is by far the best. If you need help cross-referencing or any other needs and no one can help you go to the tall order guy cuz he's is awesome!!!! Thank you John Stone of Denver for having such excellent service!!!
Just great! I really love this location. The costumer service is excellent
Doron was extremely helpful, attentive and thorough! He made several phone calls for me getting to the bottom of my issue and didn’t miss a beat! Give this man a raise ASAP!!
Garbage store. Wont directly say wholesale on website and promotes installing cheap parts for 200x markups to stay in buisness. Needed a dual run capacitor to fix my ac but they would rather sell to a contractor only so it will be 150-300 instead of 20. Funny enough that i could get it at at ace hardware but they dont carry 35/5. Go to amazon they will give you what you need without some inexperienced representative pretending ac is difficult and dangerous. You could have a license to sell to public and contactors but one is way more profitable.
Based on their rating, they might be great for contractors, BUT don't bother calling if you aren't one - they chose to be of no help for a small residential furnace repair on a Friday just before a weekend with SINGLE DIGIT HIGHS AND NEGATIVE TEMPERATURE LOWS expected!!!!!!!!!.
My suggestion - shop online, since that's what they want to force you to do. I don't see why companies, in this day when brick and mortar shops are having trouble fighting the online giants to stay alive, would turn a paying customer away no matter how small. If they want to offer special pricing to contractors that buy from them all the time, I get that, and would expect to pay a contractor's markup on any products purchased if using a contractor, because they would be the one warrantying the parts they supply. However, if I need a $14.00 part, and am fine with paying said markup, and then some just to get what I need, to Johnstone Supply, or whatever other company, instead of having a contractor come charge me to diagnose what I already 100% know is wrong and then mark up the part, why should Johnstone care - it's a $14.00 part.
Edit - I found it at a competitor locally. Unfortunately, after telling me they had it in stock, then asked if I was a contractor I was sent on my way to keep looking elsewhere at the end of a work day. I ended up finding another place that had it, but am not able to get their before they close. I'll either support them, or buy online to save the hassle factor, and pray my system gets me through the cold weekend. Either way, I'm not buying from Johnstone, now (clearly) or in the in the reasonably near future via contractor when we have both of our HVAC/Furnaces replaced, because I'll stipulate no parts to be bought from Johnstone for my work...
